Shannon Lewis is a Choreographer, Director and Performer who has created renowned roles on Broadway and developed creative works and projects of every size and scale.
Shannon is the Choreographer of the ground breaking and inventive new musical The Secret Silk by Stephen Schwartz, John Tartaglia and Jim Henson Creature Shop for Princess Cruise Lines. Her new choreography recently premiered in the critically acclaimed and re-imagined BEAUTY AND THE BEAST at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre. She also choreographed the highly anticipated new musical film STUCK starring Amy Madigan, Giancarlo Esposito and Ashanti. Shannon has conceived, created and premiered 4 original works for the world renowned Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival. She was also proud to premiere her original concept piece CRIMINAL at the groundbreaking BC Beat in New York City @ Cielo. Shannon is a renowned performer, internationally known for originating I Gotcha in the original Broadway cast of Fosse. She starred as “Ursula” opposite Christina Applegate in the Broadway revival of Sweet Charity, and as “Miss Krumholtz” with Daniel Radcliffe, Darren Criss and Nick Jonas in the Broadway revival of How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying. Her other Broadway credits include: The Mystery of Edwin Drood; The People in the Picture; Curtains; Look of Love; Contact; Candide; Crazy for You. She had starring roles in Broadway National Tours - A Chorus Line as “Sheila” and
Pippin as “Fastrada”. Her many television and film appearances include the Tony Awards, Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, PBS Great Performances as well as the groundbreaking Sound of Music LIVE on NBC starring Carrie Underwood and the epic and lauded musical opening of the feature film TED 2. She is the creator of StyleSmash Project and proudly on the Guest Faculty at The School at Jacob’s Pillow and Adjunct Professor at Pace University Commercial Dance in New York City.
